What is the difference between Full Spectrum and Isolate?

Full spectrum CBD oil includes all of the active compounds in the raw hemp plant material. All of our products are full spectrum, food grade CO2 extract. CBD isolate oil is exactly what it sounds like it is – an oil that contains nothing at all except the active CBD compound. Researchers have proven full spectrum CBD to be more capable in offering greater levels of relief vs CBD isolate. CBD isolate extract basically lacks the other cannabinoids and contains only a highly concentrated CBD dose.

Does your product contain THC?

No! All Capitol Organics products are complete THC-free. We use patented technology to remove any residual THC found in our hemp extract.

What are the effects of using CBD products?

Some effects reported by CBD oil users include reduced stress and anxiety, increased attention and focus, pain relief, improved mood, and many others. Organic compounds such as CBD can produce different effects in different people. Your results may vary.

How does CBD work in the body?

CBD can act as a neurotransmitter. Neurotransmitters help us regulate bodily systems at a cellular level. CBD has been shown to affect a wide array of systems in the human body, such as the immune system, nervous system, endocrine system, cardiovascular system, digestive system, heart, liver, kidneys, epidermis, and others. CBD also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. Click here to visually see how it works in the body.

Is CBD a drug?

Although CBD is used as a component in a pharmaceutical known as Epidiolex, which is used to treat seizure disorders, CBD oil is not considered to be a drug. Instead, it is a dietary supplement. CBD does not cause a high like marijuana.

Is CBD oil intoxicating?

No.  CBD oil will not make you feel stoned or high.  It will not create a buzz.

What is the difference between CBD and hemp?

Hemp is a family of cannabis strains which are grown for food and fibers. CBD is a molecular compound found in the plant’s extracts. Capitol Organics CBD is extracted from a proprietary strain of hemp known as PCR hemp — or phytocannabinoid-rich hemp. This strain is far richer in CBD, other cannabinoids and terpenes than the basic hemp plant used by most CBD producers.

What are terpenes?

Terpenes are a class of volatile hydrocarbon compounds produced in the flower clusters of the cannabis plant. Terpenes are what gives cannabis its distinct aromas and have been utilized by humans for millennia in a healing modality known as aromatherapy. Terpenes are recognized as safe for human consumption by the Food and Drug Association and are used in a wide variety of food and cosmetic products.

Which CBD product is right for me?

Our team selected a variety of product offerings by listening to real people who have tried other CBD products. With that in mind, we have created the best products based on reliable science. The ideal serving size of CBD for each person depends on a wide range of variables, including the reason it is being used, the method of administration, sex, age, weight, diet, activity level and so on. It also depends on the product. Servings of 5 to 50 milligrams per day are commonly reported for health maintenance, mood enhancement, and minor pain reduction. Higher servings, although not harmful, are not recommended unless being used to treat a particular disorder, in which case it is recommended that you consult with a qualified medical professional. Opting for a tincture or gelcaps is based on personal preference.

Why should I choose CBD over medical cannabis?

Medical cannabis is another term for medical marijuana. Marijuana contains THC, which is a cannabinoid that causes a high. Medical cannabis can cause severe impairments. CBD is not psychotropic, meaning that it does not cause a high. It can be used while working, driving or undertaking any other physical activity such as exercise or sports.

Can your products cure/treat my condition?

CBD oil has been used by many people to treat a variety of conditions; however, it has not been approved by the FDA in the treatment of any condition aside from specific seizure disorders. There are numerous studies which suggest CBD may be an effective therapy for a wide range of health issues, and many U.S. states have approved the use of CBD to treat many of these ailments. Always consult with a qualified medical professional to determine if your condition is treatable with CBD.

Research Studies On CBD

Project CBD (a nonprofit information source) maintains a comprehensive list of conditions of which potential therapeutic effects of CBD are being studied. The preponderance of evidence presented as a result of these studies points to one conclusion: There is a vast array of human ailments which seem to respond to CBD, but it is important that you always do your own research and consult a professional health provider. Here’s a list of some of the conditions upon which CBD’s effects have been, or are being, studied:

Chronic Pain

Digestive Issues

Skin Conditions

Antibiotic Resistance

Sleep Disorders

Mood Disorders

Spinal Cord Injury

Motion Sickness

Can CBD interact with other medications?

CBD may affect the metabolism of certain classes of drugs, but studies have shown the effects to be minimal. Much more research needs to be done in this area. If you are taking prescription medications, please consult a qualified medical professional.

Can I use your products if I have a gluten allergy?

Yes. Our products are gluten-free.

Is CBD oil intoxicating?

No.  CBD oil will not make you feel stoned or high.  It will not create a buzz.

How long will a bottle last me?

It depends on personal dosage and usage. All of our bottles provide 30 servings.

Can my pet consume CBD?

CBD is safe for pets. Our customers use our Dog Treats for dogs. We do recommend that you consult with a veterinarian who is familiar with your pet and knowledgeable in the use of CBD oil in pet health.

Is it 3rd party tested?

Our products go through a series of testing by in-house and third-party labs to assure the highest purity and concentrations of cannabinoids. Tests are also done to ensure our products are completely free of THC and any potential contaminants.

Will this show up on a drug test?

No. Drug tests do not test for CBD. CBD cannot produce a false positive on a test designed to look for THC, just as long as you’re using products where all the THC has been removed. Capitol Organics products are THC-free. If you are not using marijuana products, you will not fail a drug test.

Do you test on animals?

No! Never!
